We live together in independently run house communities, in which each person helps to create a homely atmosphere.  Living as family units within the greater whole of the community creates the basis for the feelings of acceptance and trust which a person with learning disabilities needs.  Individual responsibility in the running of the house contributes to the feeling of belonging to the fabric of the community.

Celebrations of the Christian Festivals forms the central focus around which the cultural life revolves

Highlighting the course of the year with plays and festive gatherings creates many occasions which give content and stimulus as a healthy balance to the work routine

Working to the rhythms of the year means that our work and social life differs according to the seasons.  In summer we work mainly on the land and our social life will include folk dancing, swimming and barbecues.  In winter we turn to indoor pursuits like art, drama, painting and music.
