WORKSHOPS

     
The Food Processing workshop falls into two categories  
     

The Creamery – processes surplus milk
 from our herd of dairy shorthorns into hard
 cheeses and yoghurts. Everyone is taught
 the discipline of hygiene and safety.  

Butchery – our own organic pork, chicken and beef 
is prepared for the table. Everyone working in this 
workshop will be involved with the preparations 
such as dicing, mincing, weighing, packing 
and sausage and burger making.  


Seasonal fruits and vegetables are also prepared here and made into jams, chutneys and juices, together with preparation and balancing of fruit and vegetables for the freezer.
Both these workshops are very much ‘hand-on’ experience and are enjoyed by all who are involved
